                                          What is a surface capacitive touch screen and what are its advantages

Capacitive touch screen, as a kind of man-machine friendly industrial touch screen, has been widely used. Capacitive touch screens have low power consumption, long service life, and stable operation, and are very popular in the sales market. Various capacitive touch screen products have been released one after another.

Surface capacitive touch screen, only one layer of ITO is applied. When a finger touches the surface, a certain amount of positive charge is transferred to the body. In order to recycle these positive charges, charge from the four corners of the screen, and the amount of charge in each direction is proportional to the distance between the touch points, so that I can calculate where the touch points are.

Surface capacitor ITO plating generally requires the application of linearized metal electrodes around the display to reduce corner/edge effects on electrostatic fields. Sometimes there is also an ITO shield under the ITO plating to shield noise. The surface capacitive touch screen needs to be calibrated at least once before it is used. Advantages of capacitive touch screens:

1. The actual operation is unique. The capacitive touch screen supports multi-point touch, and the actual operation is more visualized and more challenging.

2. It is not easy to touch the screen. Because the capacitive touch screen needs to sense the current of the body, only the body can operate it, and there will be no certain contact when touching it with other objects, so the possibility of touching the screen is basically avoided.

3. High wear resistance. Compared with resistive touch screens, capacitive touch screens have stronger performance in terms of anti-fouling, moisture-proof, and wear-resistant.
