                                                                            How to use PUR hot melt adhesive

1. Storage conditions: PUR hot melt adhesives should be stored at a temperature of 8~22°C and stored in a dry place away from light to avoid excessive air humidity. Do not use products with damaged packaging.

2. Before using PUR hot melt adhesive:

1) Before using PUR glue, you need to check whether the vacuum packaging is in good condition, and do not use it if it leaks;

2) Use the glue after returning to room temperature;

3) Preheating: Preheat the glue without tearing off the aluminum foil (usually 5~15 minutes), or put the glue in good condition in an oven for preheating, it is recommended to control the temperature at 100 ℃;

4) After preheating, pick out the rubber scabs on the top and tail of the PUR glue hose, and then the glue can be used;

5) Remove oil, dust, paint, release agent, oxide layer and other substances that affect the bonding on the surface of the bonded parts to ensure that the surface of the bonded workpiece is dry.

3. Dispensing:

1) The temperature and air pressure during PUR hot melt adhesive dispensing vary with different projects, please consult KY technical personnel for details;

2) Stainless steel needles should be used as much as possible, and the inner diameter of the nozzle depends on the specific project;

3) Before installing the nozzle, please discharge a small amount of glue to ensure that the PUR hot melt adhesive can be used normally;

4) The length of the needle tip exposed to the outside of the heater should not exceed 3mm.

Reminder: It is recommended not to exceed the continuous heating time of 4 hours. The same hose should not be heated three times. If the heating time is too long, the back of the hose will be crusted. At this time, the crust can be pierced to reduce the pressure of glue application.

4. Assembly pressing:

Apply PUR01 to the surface of the bonded part at the gluing temperature; after determining the position of the bonded part, press the two parts of the adherend together within the opening time to complete the initial bonding.
5. Curing:

Store the preliminarily bonded parts under suitable conditions for complete curing (the complete curing time will vary due to the amount of glue applied, ambient temperature, and ambient humidity).
